WorkHours is a personal iPhone application for recording work hours and synchronizing those records with Google Sheets. This policy explains how the app and this website handle information.

Information the app handles

WorkHours handles calendar dates, work sites, clock-in and clock-out times, break durations and automatic/manual break settings, gross and net work hours, Day Off status, and timestamps used for synchronization. It also stores reminder times and selected weekdays, Vacay Mode preferences and dates, and synchronization status.

Local storage and offline use

Work-hour records and app preferences are stored locally on your iPhone. This lets WorkHours work offline, display Day, Week and Month history quickly, and retain unsynchronized entries until synchronization succeeds. Older cached records are not automatically removed when a cloud refresh covers only recent dates.

Google authorization and access

WorkHours uses Google OAuth. You sign in with Google; WorkHours does not receive or store your Google password. The app keeps a refresh token in the device Keychain and a temporary access token in memory so it can synchronize with your authorization.

Google authorization is used solely to download existing WorkHours records, upload new records, update existing records, and reconcile local and cloud history. The requested Google Sheets permission can allow access to spreadsheets in your account; the app restricts its synchronization to the configured WorkHours spreadsheet’s App Data tab.

Synchronization can run on launch, after saving a record, and when you select Sync Now. WorkHours does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, marketing or unrelated analytics.

Where records go

Work-hour records travel directly between the WorkHours app on your iPhone and Google Sheets. There is currently no separate WorkHours backend or server holding copies of your timesheet. Google processes data through its services under its own policies and your account settings.

Reminders and Vacay Mode

Reminders use iOS local notifications, subject to your permission. Reminder times, weekday selections and Vacay Mode settings stay on your device and are not sent to Google Sheets as preferences.

Vacay Mode can create Day Off records locally for vacation dates without replacing saved workdays. Those Day Off records synchronize to the same Google Sheet through the normal work-record synchronization process.

Sharing and Limited Use

WorkHours does not sell user data or share Google user data with advertisers or data brokers. Google data is accessed only to provide the synchronization functionality you configure or initiate.

WorkHours’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and removal

Local records and preferences remain on your device until removed through the device or application lifecycle. Deleting the app normally removes its local app data; device backups or restoration may retain copies. Keychain authorization can remain independently of app data, so revoke Google access separately if you no longer want WorkHours connected.

Google Sheets records remain in your Google account and are controlled through Google. Deleting WorkHours does not delete your spreadsheet or its records. Removing a cloud row does not automatically erase a locally cached record.

Revoking Google access

You can remove WorkHours access in your Google Account third-party connections. Revoking access stops future authorized synchronization until you reconnect. It does not delete existing local records or Google Sheet records.

Analytics and this website

WorkHours contains no analytics SDK, third-party crash-reporting SDK or advertising SDK. This website includes no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, cookies, external fonts or third-party scripts.

The website is served through Cloudflare Pages. Hosting providers necessarily receive technical request information, such as an IP address, to deliver a page and operate their service. This site has no timesheet upload form and does not receive your app’s timesheet records.
